Dr. Hanne Bosselaers

Dr. Hanne Bosselaers is a general practitioner based in Brussels, where she works at a primary Health and Action Center operated by Medicine for the People in Molenbeek. She is the mother of two children, aged eight and six.

Alongside her colleagues, Dr. Bosselaers is deeply committed to advancing the right to health for all. In 2013, she worked in Gaza to help establish a partnership between her medical center and a primary healthcare center operated by the Palestinian NGO Awda.

Inspired by the resilience and steadfastness of her Palestinian colleagues under Israeli occupation, Dr. Bosselaers is actively engaged in the movement for a free Palestine in Belgium. She serves as a coordinator of Healthworkers 4 Palestine and has been involved in sustained efforts linking healthcare, human rights, and international solidarity.

In September 2025, she represented both Medicine for the People and Awda aboard the Conscience, as part of an initiative to sail to Gaza with health workers and journalists, carrying humanitarian and medical aid.
