Building on our inaugural mission in Summer 2025, our Spring 2026 action will be the largest coordinated civilian maritime effort for Palestine to date: 70+ boats and over a thousand participants from 70+ countries.
Emerging as a direct response to calls from Palestinians in Gaza, the Global Sumud Flotilla remains grounded in Palestinian leadership and powered by grassroots movements worldwide. Our purpose is to transform these missions into durable political power and a replicable model for global justice.
We are independent, international, and unaffiliated with any government. We assert that sovereignty over Palestinian land and water belongs solely to the Palestinian people. This movement is for the millions ready to demand accountability, confront complicity, and take direct action when institutions refuse to act.
Thiago Ávila es miembro del Comité Directivo de la Coalición de la Flotilla de la Libertad y fue uno de los coordinadores a bordo de la misión Madleen que fue interceptada y secuestrada por la entidad sionista en junio de 2025. Fue puesto en régimen de aislamiento después de exponer los crímenes del Estado israelí frente a un juez sionista y comenzar una huelga de hambre y sed hasta su deportación.
Es un comunicador y socioambientalista brasileño que viaja por el mundo informando, educando y movilizando contra la explotación, la opresión y la destrucción de la naturaleza, especialmente en el Sur Global. Tiene 38 años, es el orgulloso padre de una hija de un año y medio, y se ha dedicado a la solidaridad con Palestina durante más de veinte años.
María Elena Delia, desde Turín, Italia, es física, gestora de proyectos y profesora. Ha sido voluntaria en numerosos países de todo el mundo, contribuyendo a proyectos centrados en el desarrollo de la tierra y la protección de la infancia. En la actualidad, se dedica principalmente a la defensa de los derechos de los palestinos. Miembro fundador del Movimiento Gaza Libre y ex coordinadora italiana de la Coalición de la flotilla de la Libertad, ha formado parte desde 2012 de la junta directiva de la Fundación Vittorio Arrigoni, que apoya iniciativas humanitarias en Italia y a nivel internacional. En junio de 2025, se desempeñó como coordinadora de la delegación italiana de Global March to Gaza.
Saif Abukeshek, un activista palestino ubicado en Barcelona, lleva organizando la solidaridad palestina en toda Europa desde más que 20 años. Fue uno de los principales organizadores de la Global March to Gaza y actualmente preside la Coalición Global contra la Ocupación en Palestina y representa a la Intersindical Alternativa de Catalunya (IAC).
Muhammad Nadir Al-Nuri es un líder humanitario malasio y fundador de Cinta Gaza Malaysia (CGM), una de las ONG más destacadas del país que apoya el desarrollo sostenible y la defensa en Palestina. Desde 2013, ha liderado iniciativas como el Centro Cultural de Malasia, la Incubadora de Empresas y la Escuela en Gaza, y ha recaudado más de 20 millones de dólares en ayuda desde octubre de 2023. Autor publicado e influyente en los medios de comunicación, Nadir ha dado más de 500 charlas en todo el país y es ampliamente reconocido como una voz líder de Palestina en Malasia con medio millón de seguidores en sus plataformas de redes sociales. Actualmente se desempeña como Presidente del Consejo Supremo de la coalición de Defensores de MyAqsa, y recientemente fue Embajador de Buena Voluntad de la Coalición Aid4Palestine, Enviado Especial a Oriente Medio por el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de Malasia
Wael Nawar es un activista político de izquierdas y defensor de la justicia y la liberacion durante toda su vida. Fue Secretario General de la Unión General de Estudiantes Tunecinos y confundador de la Coordinación de la Acción Conjunta para Palestina. Ex preso político, resultó herido durante la revolución tunecina y desde entonces ha permanecido profundamente comprometido con las movilizaciones de base. También se desempeñó como coordinador y portavoz del convoy Sumud para romper el bloqueo a Gaza.
Activista político argelino, formador de liderazgo juvenil y consultor parlamentario. Dirige la Academia de Liderazgo Jil Tarjih y la Coordinación Popular Argelina para el Apoyo de Palestina, uniendo esfuerzos de la sociedad civil en solidaridad con Palestina. Forma parte de la Oficina Ejecutiva Internacional de IIFSO, una organización juvenil global con estatus consultivo en la ONU, y tiene una amplia experiencia en activismo estudiantil y participación cívica. Como portavoz y miembro del Comité del Magreb del Convoy Sumud, Marouan ayuda a movilizar esfuerzos regionales para romper el asedio a Gaza y oponerse a la normalización.
Sümeyra Akdeniz Ordu is a Germany & Türkiye -based Islamic theology teacher and state-certified social worker specializing in social pedagogy, youth counseling, and community programs.
An experienced human rights activist, she currently serves as a Steering Committee member of the Global Sumud Flotilla, overseeing both strategic planning and ground operations. Sümeyra has a long-standing history with the Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC), where she served in the coordination team for several missions, including the Madleen mission in which her husband was a participant. In 2025, they both joined forces again on the Global Sumud Flotilla to challenge the blockade, bringing her extensive pedagogical and logistical expertise to the forefront of international solidarity and advocacy.
At 57, Patrick stands as a committed voice for Palestinian rights from Luxembourg, having supported Palestinian causes for more than three decades. His journey in activism is rooted in the conviction that standing up for Palestine represents a fundamental test of our civilization—measuring how we treat people across the globe and all living beings.
As the Luxembourg organizer of the Global March to Gaza, Patrick has worked to build bridges between European communities and the Palestinian struggle. His leadership extends to the 2025 Global Sumud Flotilla, where he co-chaired cybersecurity and security operations.
His work reflects a broader philosophy: that human rights are indivisible, and that silence in the face of injustice implicates us all.
Patricia Luévano is a Mexican activist, artist, and cultural organizer affiliated with the Global Movement to Gaza (GMTG). Her work explores the intersection of art and social action, using storytelling and cultural initiatives to raise awareness about the situation in Gaza and amplify global solidarity.
Aziz Rhali is a Moroccan pharmacist, academic, and civil society leader based in Kenitra, Morocco.
He holds doctorates in pharmacy and health economics, with studies across Morocco, Ukraine, and Russia, and is fluent in five languages including Arabic, French, and English. Aziz founded and directed Pharmacie Amine and held senior roles in Moroccan and international pharmacy governance, including Vice President of the National Federation of Pharmacists' Unions of Morocco and member of the Administrative Council of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP).
His commitment to health justice extends into active crisis response: he served in hospitals in Iraq (2003), Lebanon (2006), and Gaza (2008 and 2014) during each conflict.
Susan Abdallah is a Palestinian-Norwegian teacher, translator, and politician serving on the city council of Stord Municipality. She leads Norwegian People’s Aid in the Sunnhordland region and works at the intersection of education, language, politics, and public service. Through her commitment to international solidarity and voluntary work, she raises awareness about Palestine, supports the Palestinian cause, and strengthens community ties both locally and globally.
Maimon Herawati is a humanitarian activist, media researcher, and writer based in Indonesia whose work focuses on justice-oriented communication, conflict reporting, and global solidarity movements, particularly on Palestine and other humanitarian crises in the Global South.
With more than a decade of experience leading and advising humanitarian and civil society organizations, she has been directly involved in advocacy, field-based initiatives, and international campaigns addressing occupation, displacement, and structural violence.
